Estimated reachable area over the road network. Real range varies with rider weight, hills, tire pressure, temperature and how hard you ride.
Start with the number that matters most: 2,526 ratings. Nothing else on this site is within an order of magnitude. A 4.2 from two and a half thousand buyers is a fundamentally more reliable signal than a 4.9 from thirty, and it is the main reason the S2 leads our US list.
Read those reviews and something unusual shows up. The most repeated praise is not about how the scooter rides β it's about what happened when something broke. Owner after owner describes Hiboy shipping a replacement throttle, a replacement controller, a replacement charger, in several cases past the twelve-month warranty. In a category built almost entirely on anonymous sellers who vanish after the sale, a company that answers email is a genuine feature, and it is arguably worth more than any spec on the sheet.
The specs themselves are modest and honest: a 350 W hub motor, 18 mph, 17 miles of claimed range, and 8.5-inch solid tires. Solid tires are a real trade-off worth understanding. They cannot puncture, which eliminates the most common way a scooter ruins your week, and they need no maintenance at all. In exchange, every expansion joint and every pothole edge arrives at your wrists with nothing in between. There is a rear suspension, but it is doing a lot of work on its own.
What's missing. Hiboy doesn't publish battery capacity in watt-hours anywhere, so we've left that blank rather than reverse-engineer it from the range claim. And the listing says nothing about UL 2272 certification. If you live in New York City, or in any building whose landlord has started asking, that is the first thing to confirm with the seller β not the range.
At $299.99, down from $352.99, this is the scooter to buy when you want the safest bet rather than the best spec sheet. It is slow, it is short-legged, and more people have been happy with it than with anything else here.
Anything marked «—» is a figure the manufacturer doesn't publish. We don't fill those in by eye.

| The volume champion | 2,526 ratings. Nothing else on this site comes close, and it is why a 4.2 here carries more weight than a 4.9 from thirty people |
|---|---|
| Solid tires | Puncture-proof and maintenance-free, which removes the single most common scooter failure. The trade is that every crack in the sidewalk arrives at your wrists undiluted |
| Battery | Hiboy doesn't publish capacity in watt-hours anywhere in the listing, so we've left it blank rather than back-calculate it from the range claim |
| After-sales support | The most repeated phrase across the positive reviews isn't about the scooter, it's about Hiboy replacing parts out of warranty. In this category that is unusual enough to be a buying reason |
| Range | 17 miles claimed. That is the low end of this comparison, and it is a claim measured in the most favourable conditions |
A summary of the reviews published on Amazon.com as of 2026-08-21.
4.2 out of 5 from 2,526 ratings β the largest sample on this site by a wide margin. The striking pattern is that the five-star reviews are disproportionately about customer service rather than the ride: buyers describe broken throttles and dead controllers being replaced free, in at least one case fourteen months after purchase. College students come up constantly as the core buyer. The complaints are consistent and predictable: it struggles on hills, and the solid tires make rough pavement uncomfortable.

#2 best seller. The best of the $160 tier, and what $160 actually buys.
UL 2272 and 2271 certified, 800 W, IPX5. The safe pick.
